Game Recap Dobson

Higuera and Everson Shine In Season Debut vs. Dobson

The long wait of the Summer and Fall is finally over and the 2024-25 season is under way for the Tigers. Welcoming Dobson for the Season Opener, the scoreboard was lighting up early and often for Millennium, as the Tigers went on to rout the Mustangs 114-29, anchored by stellar performances from guards Adrian Higuera and Quincy Everson.

“After I saw that third shot go in, I realized I was feeling it,” said Higuera, when asked about his career night. “From that point, I told my teammates that I’d be ready for that catch-and-shoot.” Higuera finished the game with 30 points on a perfect 13-for-13 from the floor. “It feels great to get a win like that to start the season. Moving forward, we’ve got to build off this and be ready to go for next week’s game with O’Connor. That’ll be a tough matchup”

Everson was just as impressive on the floor, turning in 21 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals on the night. “Getting a big win like that to start off Senior Year feels great,” said Everson. “It’s a great boost to the team’s confidence. We need to bring the same energy and intensity next week.”

Other notable contributions for the Tigers came from Kingston Tosi, who notched his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 boards, as well as Cameron Holmes and JT Amundsen, who added 15 and 11, respectively. Millennium ended the night with an overall shooting percentage of 74.2% from the floor.

“You always want to start the season on a high note like that,” said Head Coach Ty Amundsen. “We can enjoy it until our head hits the pillow tonight, but tomorrow we’ve got to reign our focus back in for the next one.”

The Tigers return to play next Tuesday, as they travel to Phoenix to take on the Sandra Day O’Connor Eagles.
