Nick Kovats

Career
Coach Nick Kovats is entering his eighth year with Millennium Basketball. He started his career with the Tigers as the Head JV Coach in 2017, before moving into the role of Assistant Coach for the Varsity team from 2018 - 2022. He currently serves as the program's Associate Head Coach.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Coach Kovats played high school football under legendary coach Bob Ritley who won the 1978 Rose Bowl with the University of Michigan. He also played for Hall of Fame basketball coach Cliff Hunt who made two OHSAA State Championship and continued on coaching at Lake Erie College. Nick has been around coaching his entire life as his father Paul Kovats was also a long-time high school coach at Madison High School. After his high school career, Coach Kovats attended Division II Ashland University on an athletic scholarship for both football and basketball.
He has been coaching high school and AAU basketball in Ohio and Arizona since 2002.
Personal
When Nick is not coaching, he's a technology professional with over 25 years of experience working for organizations such as Best Western, Wyndham, APS, American Express, State Farm, and Charles Schwab. He specializes in technology management, cyber security, network, and cloud infrastructure. Nick is the proud husband to Courtney Kovats and father of four amazing children Jordan, Gwen, Brynnlee, and Oakley. Nick enjoys being at the lake or ocean, any type of outdoor activity, and spending time with family.
