Career

Coach Kyle Anderson is entering his second season as assistant coach for the Tigers.

Born and raised in Detroit, where he played high school basketball for Michigan Hall of Fame coach Greg Esler (De La Salle Collegiate), Coach Anderson learned the game in three simple terms: grit, determination, and resilience. An injury in his senior season at De La Salle forced him to step back and look at the game in a different way, while further developing his leadership and communication skills on and off the court.

He applied these traits to his work at Michigan State University, where he studied Advertising and Public Relations while working as Assistant Marketing Director for the Jack Breslin Student Events Center. Working in close proximity to the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Michigan State, Coach Anderson gained the knowledge and skill set that he has used in his secondary role of Director of Basketball Operations for Millennium Basketball, where he has taken on the responsibility of building the Tigers into a recognizable player on the national stage.

Going into the 2024-25 season, Coach Anderson says, “My primary job is to make Coach Ty's life as easy as possible, and I intend to do it as best as I can. I’m more motivated than ever to continue pouring my heart and soul into this program. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of our branding and strategy, so we can stand tall among the other titans of the high school basketball world."

Personal

Coach Anderson currently resides in Goodyear with his wife Katie and his cat, Goose, the unofficial mascot for the Tigers.
